Hey guys! This pregnancy I feel like I have had the chance to really do some things I wish I would have done during my last two pregnancies. Here’s what I’m doing this time around!
I really wish I would have exercised during my last two pregnancies. I took all that “take it easy” stuff too seriously. As a result I gained way too much weight during each of my pregnancies.
This time it’s been strength or cardio 3-4x per week and I feel amazing, energetic, and strong! I can not recommend exercise during pregnancy enough. Take it from me, the difference is insane.
My health care provider gave me the okay, make sure yours does too!
Using a Food Tracker
Instead of feeling bad about what I’m eating I’ve been tracking it so when I do splurge, I see the direct results right there in my log. My Fitness Pal has a great app that I’ve been using, it has so much detail and helps you see what nutrients you may not be getting enough of. I’m also watching when and how much I’m going over my daily limits for things like carbs, fats, and protein.
It also tracks my water, healthy fats, and how much fiber I’m actually getting vs. just what I think I get. I mean seriously, don’t we all eat one salad and think how healthy we are?! Just me?
I’ve been taking collagen powder every day this time around to prevent stretch marks. So far no new stretch marks and I had plenty by this time my last two pregnancies. Here’s hoping for no more!
For those of you who’ve also been around the block, what do you wish you did during pregnancy? If you’ve never been pregnant, what are you curious about? I’d love to know!
