We took Riley to the Crayola Experience at the Mall of America for her birthday. She’s turned two and since kids under three get in for free, I thought maybe there wouldn’t be more than one or two age appropriate activities for her.
We ended up being there for four hours. So yeah, there was plenty to do. I think coloring is so great because kids of any age can have fun – Michael and I even had a ton of fun!
They had a huge coloring station with lots of coloring sheets and as you can see, buckets of crayons. And we did go on a Saturday, so for the Mall of America, the Crayola Experience had plenty of room for the amount of kids that were there on a freezing cold Saturday.
This whole room was made of chalkboards and whiteboards – which was one of the really fun activities for all kids but especially younger ones. The Spin art station was also really cool. It was fun to watch and a really cool piece to take home. You get to control the speed to change the design. Riley just liked watching it but super fun for older ones.
Last there was two giant playgrounds where the kids could get their energy out. we stayed here for at least a full hour. I couldn’t even get a picture of Riley, she was having too much fun. But they did have this giant light bright board where you can make pictures. It was great for Titus and both kids were happy to play here for a while. They separated the play areas into one for kids under 5 and over 5, it was nice not to have any big kids pushing the little ones out of the way.
Overall we had a ton of fun and I would definitely recommend anyone with kids of any age to go!
